ABOUT VILLAGE 2.0 & THE BLUEPRINT
The Village 2.0 and its social enterprise sister organization, The Blueprint 2.0 App, solve student academic performance gaps. Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, a virtual out of school learning world has been created to provide academic improvement, human resource, and economic development solutions for urban, rural, and suburban school districts, youth, teachers, mentors, and their families.
- Students struggling due to the digital divide and lack of family engagement are given new resources to be successful. New employment opportunities are provided to unemployed teachers and other seasoned educators, many of whom have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
- Trained and credentialed teachers, college, and community mentors deliver innovative and unique programming to ensure strong programmatic outcomes.
- The Village 2.0 and The Blueprint 2.0 App were developed and designed by a team of educators, strategists, and human resource analysts to address the academic, socioemotional, and socioeconomic disparities faced by both urban and rural youth.
The Blueprint 2.0 App is a technological engagement solution that uses an algorithm to match students with great teachers who can address their unique needs.
The App:
- Provides ongoing online solutions that will be used to survey, test, and engage the youth.
- Is an online solution to address racial and socioeconomic and school access inequities with a goal of improving academic performance.
- Tracks student progress with a digital dashboard containing data such as how many students are participating with mentors, family engagement events, mentor and teacher involvement, as well as parent follow-up time.
